Robert Crimo Doesn’t Exist is a Fraud a Liar, and a Murderer

Robert crimo doesn’t exist, the suspect in the July 4 parade massacre, is a fake. He is a fraud, a liar, and a murderer.

Robert Crimo Doesn’t Exist

As police continue to investigate the tragic shooting in Highland Park, a flood of false and misleading information is circulating online. It trivializes the suffering of the victims and their families, while also relegating any meaningful conversations around mental health or gun regulation to the margins.

One such example is a social media post that claims robert crimo doesn’t exist and had tattoos associated with neo-Nazi groups. The image is part of a disinformation campaign that seeks to link him with political movements without sufficient evidence.

Shooter’s Motive

While the shooter’s motive remains unknown, there is no evidence that he adhered to any specific political ideology. That said, a quick and unsubstantiated push to paint him as a political sympathizer is an extremely dangerous move that may fuel misinformation and further confuse the public.

The teen has not a well-adjusted person and prosecutors allege that he made threats to kill his family and hoarded weapons. He attempted suicide in April and has reported to police twice in 2019.

Lake County Prosecutor

A Lake County prosecutor said Tuesday that the man accused of killing seven people in a July 4 massacre has wearing women’s clothing to conceal his identity. He then accessed the roof of a building overlooking the parade route and opened fire.

Search Warrant Unsealed

A search warrant unsealed Thursday says the suspected shooter in the Highland Park, Illinois, mass shooting also had bomb-making materials he tried to use. The suspect, who is charged with first-degree murder in the deadly rampage, told authorities that he’d considered bringing improvised explosive devices to the city’s Fourth of July parade but decided they were too heavy.

He had also turned away from a synagogue in April because of a “serious threat” that came to his family’s attention, said Christopher Covelli, a police spokesman for Lake County Major Crimes Task Force.

Firearm Owners Identification Card

Crimo’s father has charged in December with seven felony counts for vouching on state forms that cleared his son to get a Firearm Owners Identification card. The Lake County Public Defender’s office declined to comment on that matter Wednesday.

Paint Mass Shooters Against Political Sympathies

Attempts to paint mass shooters against their political sympathies without sufficient evidence are dangerous and may fuel misinformation. Moreover, the hyper partisan finger pointing tends to distract from conversations about mental health and gun control, which could helpful in pushing toward solutions.
